Instructions:

Step One: Using a hand saw, cut the 3 x ⅜ inches thick dowels into the following lengths – six, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 inches.

Step Two: On the ⅞ inch-thick dowel, the trunk, measure 4 inches from the top and mark it with a pencil. From that original 4” mark, mark again at 8”, 16”, 24”, and 32”.

Step Three: Turn the trunk by ¼, measure 8 inches down from the very top, and mark. From the very top of the trunk, continue to mark at 16”, 24” and 32”. Each branch (from both sides of the trunk) should be 4 inches apart.

Step Four: Using a drill and a ⅜ inch drill bit, drill holes through the “trunk” for the branches.

Step Five: To create the base of the tree, find the center of your 8×8 inches sheet of wood. Using a drill and a ⅞ inch paddle bit, drill a hole through the middle for the trunk.

Step Six: To assemble the tree, place the trunk into the base. Then add the dowels starting with the shortest at the top and the longest at the bottom.

Step Seven: Add some fabric around the base to make a tree skirt.

Step Eight: Add ornaments to your branches and enjoy your new tree! The best part is it’s super compact and easy to store!
