This Easy Halloween Centrepiece Adds a Touch of Ghoulish Glamour to Any Party

When it comes to Halloween centrepieces, nothing compares to the ghoulish glamour of these decorative light-up candles. These kid-friendly candles are made using upcycled pool noodles and tealights, making them perfect for any patio setup or impromptu haunted house. The design plays on old gothic motifs from popular Hollywood movies like The Addams Family and Frankenstein. Follow these simple steps to make your own Halloween candle centrepiece.

Materials:

  • Two Pool Noodles
  • Non-serrated knife
  • Battery-operated tea light candles
  • Black spray paint
  • Hot glue gun
  • Tray

Instructions:

Step One: Cut pool noodles to varying lengths between 4 inches -14 inches.

Step Two: Cut a slight angle off the tops of each noodle.

Step Three: Use a scoring knife to cut an opening in the noodle slightly larger than the size of a tea light candle.

Step Four: Use a hot glue gun to add wax drips around the tops and sides of each pool noodle. Tip: use the glue gun on a low heat setting.

Step Five: Once dry, add another layer of hot glue in some areas to make it look like the candle has been burned several times.

Step Six: Attach the pool noodles together in a desired formation using hot glue.

Step Seven: Spray paint the noodles, tray, and battery-operated tea light candles black.

Step Eight: Once dry, turn on your battery-operated tea light candles and place them inside each noodle.
