The world lost an icon of the silver screen with the recent death of Sean Connery at age 90. Best known for his seven big-screen outings as James Bond, Connery once owned this stunning, Belle Epoque-style oceanfront villa in the French Riviera. It’s currently on the market priced at about $46 million Canadian dollars.

Sean Connery sold this waterfront villa in Cap de Nice, France, several years ago, but spent vacation time there for years. According to reps from Knight Frank, the firm representing the property – known as Villa Le Roc Fleuri – it has been on the market for several months; Connery’s death has no connection to its sale.

Take in the View
One of the home’s most spectacular features is its location, high on a hillside overlooking Cap de Nice in the South of France. As a result, every room features a stunning view of the coast, extending to Nice and the French Riviera. “You get an amazing elevated view over the bay in front of you, but you also get the view up to the mountains, and the view along the coast,” Knight Frank’s Edward de Mallet Morgan told CNN.

‘A Little Bit of Stardust’
“There’s something very special about the James Bond franchise, about its connection with the French Riviera, which is all about a little bit of mystery, a little bit of intrigue, a little bit of stardust,” Edward de Mallet Morgan of Knight Frank told CNN of the home.
One of the home’s five bathrooms, this one exudes luxury and elegance. With a large window overlooking the water, features include dual vanities and a separate room for the commode, separated by a sliding pocket door.
The entry to the home is pretty spectacular, with patterned marble flooring, a dramatic curved wrought-iron bannister weaving up the staircase and curved doorways.

The large property and its terraced gardens and pathways offer a rich array of areas from which to bask in the sunshine and enjoy the spectacular view.
