Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez may have lost their bid to buy the New York Mets, but they can console themselves while enjoying their new mansion in Miami Beach’s ultra-exclusive Star Island. According to reports, the singer-actress and the former MLB great shelled out $40 million for the 10-bedroom, 12-bathroom Spanish colonial-style estate, situated on a 40,000-square-foot waterfront lot offering a stunning view of the city’s skyline.

Garage and Guest House
The multi-car garage does double duty as a charming guest house, which could also serve as quarters for live-in household staff. A set of exterior stairs leads to the guest house entrance on the second storey.
The living room is as expansive as it is posh. In addition to multiple sets of French doors opening to the backyard pool area, the living room also features a fireplace with an intricately carved mantel, gleaming marble floors and high coffered ceilings.

Magnificent Master Bath
The luxurious master bathroom, the largest of the home’s 12 bathrooms, includes a massive onyx-and-glass steam shower and a custom spa-style freestanding tub. Honey-hued wood on the door, hardwood floors and cabinets offer warm accents.

Given the home’s location on Miami’s waterfront, a private dock provides a space to anchor a boat – or, more likely, a yacht. It’s oceanfront living at its most opulent.
If J.Lo and A-Rod ever feel parched while taking in some sun, they can head over to this covered outdoor bar. Adjacent to the pool, the charming outdoor living space offers bar-style seating for five, while lounge chairs invite guests to relax by the pool.
