The Scott family is celebrating their newest arrival. Drew Scott and his wife, Linda Phan, have announced the birth of their second baby. Drew shared the good news on Instagram with a closeup of their new baby girl’s fingers and toes.
“Our family of 3 has become 4!” he wrote. “Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart.”
On Drew and Jonathan’s website, Drew shared further details. According to a post, Piper Rae was born on May 21. It sounds like the family wanted the rest of their crew, including Drew’s parents, Linda’s sister and Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel, to meet Piper before introducing her to the rest of the world.
“We are over the moon,” Drew said. “Piper is healthy, Linda is healthy, and seeing Parker excited to be a big brother is adorable.”

A Growing Family
The couple first announced they were expecting in January with a joint photo of their then-20-month-old son Parker touching Linda’s baby bump. Shortly afterward, Drew spoke to People about his excitement over becoming a father of two.
“We are super excited. Linda is a rockstar mom already,” Drew told the publication. “I love seeing Linda as a mom, and the idea of having a couple of kiddos running around is pretty cool. I have siblings, and so for Parker to have a sibling too is pretty cool,” he shared.
Now that Piper is here, Drew says Parker is still getting used to his new brotherly duties.
“He’s curious, helpful, and maybe a little jealous,” Drew added. “We got him his own baby doll so he can take care of his baby while we take care of ours.”

It sounds like Drew is also adjusting — to being a girl dad.
“It’s actually quite funny; I get a lot of mixed advice about being a girl dad,” he said. “Some people say that it’s the best thing, and others are warning me to look out. All I know is I am excited to experience whatever is to come with Piper.”
So far, that includes being peed on by his new baby girl — twice!
“We really want to be as involved as possible in their early years,” he added. “Playing, adventures, school activities, coaching, whatever they love. We’ll be there.”

The Road to Parenthood
Drew and Linda have been on a long journey to parenthood and have been candid about their experiences with infertility. The couple wed in 2018 and tried to start their family right away. They went through intrauterine insemination (IUI) and IVF treatments and have said they’re opening up about that journey to give others hope.
“It has been an adventure to get here! We know we’re not alone in this experience and that everyone’s is filled with unique challenges along the way,” the pair wrote in a 2021 Instagram post.
“When we first started down this path, we quickly felt sooooo appreciative of the doctors we’ve been fortunate to work with, and fam and friends who supported us throughout, sharing their stories or simply just being there. It made an overwhelming time in our lives more manageable. We hope as we grow through this, that even one of you reading this can also feel a little less lonely in whatever path you’re on!”
