Step 1: Create the Ghost

Once all your materials are gathered, it’s time to start making the ghost. Take your string or yarn and tie it around the pillow to form a ghost shape.

Step 2: Measure the White Sherpa Fabric and Drape

Next, drape the white sherpa fabric over the pillow and measure how much you’ll need. Use the fabric scissors to cut a square from the sherpa fabric that you measured. Make sure that it’s large enough to fit over your pillow. Once cut, glue the hem down with fabric glue.

Step 3: Attach Velcro Strips

Take the velcro fabric strips and attach them to the pillow. With the velcro strips, not only will the sherpa fabric be secured but most importantly, it can easily be removed for washing or off-season storage.

Step 4: Create Eyes, a Mouth and Rosy Cheeks

Now, cut out eyes, and a mouth using the black sherpa fabric. Cut out two smaller circles with the pink blanket yarn to create the ghost’s rosy cheeks. Secure the eyes, mouth and cheeks with the fabric glue.

Step 5: Crochet a Small Heart

The next step is to crochet a small heart for the ghost to hold using the blanket yarn. The Craft Aisle followed this free commercial-use heart pattern

Step 6: Glue the Heart on

Finally, using the fabric glue, glue the heart to the ghost’s arms to make it look like it’s holding it. Feel free to add other details you think your ghost needs. And that’s it! Now you have a charming ghost-shaped pillow perfect for your home just in time for a happy and cute Halloween.
