If you’re ever so lucky, fate brings a person into your life that you know you were destined to meet. For actor, singer and songwriter Darren Criss, the friendship with his manager Ricky has without a doubt been written in the stars. The two met by happenstance and bonded over ’90s music. After a few jam sessions together, Ricky saw Criss’ potential and helped him land his first music and acting gigs and the rest, as they say, is history.

“I think the dream for anybody in any profession is to be able to work with your friends,” said Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Criss. “Ricky has devoted an unfathomable amount of time-more time than I believe I deserve-away from his wife and his kid to make my dreams come true.” As a token of appreciation for his dear friend, Criss enlisted the help of real estate and renovation experts Drew and Jonathan Scott to create a gorgeous flex space in Ricky’s detached garage.
Together with the Scott brothers, they transform his friend’s underutilized space into a much-needed office and guest suite. From demo to final design, Criss was there helping Drew and Jonathan through it all. “Ricky is easily one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my entire life,” Criss explained. “He has invested so much of himself into making my dreams come true.”
