Chip and Joanna Doing Holiday Things is Exactly What the World Needs Right Now

We might as well stop here because this is the cutest picture on the internet. Babies and puppies can pack up and go home because nothing will compare to the cuteness of Chip and Joanna baking sugar cookies and getting into an adorable food fight. Even dressed up in a goofy costume, with the smell of reindeer in her midst, Joanna has major heart eyes for her hubby, Chip.

OK, enough with the love fest. Back to the holiday decorating! Trees and wreaths are all well and good, but to really give your home a festive spin, literally deck the halls with boughs of holly, and deck the banister, and the mantelpiece, and the light fixtures. Greens with red berries capture the look and feel of the holidays, without tipping into tacky territory.

For a warm and welcoming vignette, arrange mini trees and candles along your mantelpiece, with a holiday greeting to welcome friends and family. Joanna’s silver and green arrangement is a fresh combo of holiday colours.

Even without a working fireplace, Joanna still manages to hang stockings by the chimney with care! An artful pile of wood pulls the rustic-meets-cozy look together.

When in doubt, throw a pine sprig on it! The burst of green is the easiest way to add a touch of the holidays to your home, and it smells amazing. (Which will help to mask the smell of reindeer Chip traipsed through Magnolia House).
