Sure, we love to tune into Island of Bryan for all of the gorgeous scenery and resort-like vibes coming at us from the Caerula Mar Club, but one of the best parts about Bryan and Sarah’s latest reno series is that we get to watch them grow the resort as they raise their adorable four kids. From fishing expeditions and horse riding, to big holidays and all of the small moments in between, we’ve rounded up some of the cutest Baeumler family moments.
Fishing With the Boys
When you live on an island, you have to take advantage of the fishing. Here’s Bryan with Quintyn and Lincoln hoping to land a big one. (Can we take a moment to appreciate those stunning, clear blue waters?)
A Proud Papa
It’s no secret the family loves to spend time with the island’s horses. Here’s JoJo with a ribbon in hand after a competition. How proud is Bryan though?
Just because you have a gorgeous kitchen doesn’t mean it isn’t going to get messy sometimes. Especially when you have four kids! Case in point? Things didn’t go so smoothly for Jojo when she was trying to whip up some family smoothies.
What better way to bond with your son than by breaking open a few coconuts? Here Bryan and Linc chat about building some new forts while cracking open the fruit.
Hanging Out With the Wildlife
When you travel to other countries, seeing local wildlife is always a thrill. Yet we don’t know how comfortable we’d be with snuggling stinky critters like Sarah and Jojo are during this particular bonding moment.
Charting the Waters
When at the Caerula Mar Club, do as the guests do and learn to scuba! At least that’s what Lincoln and Charlotte decided to do with some of their free time in the resort’s beautiful swimming pool.
Celebrating the Holidays
The Baeumlers may no longer celebrate a white Christmas (unless you count those white sandy beaches), but the excitement of Christmas morning is still pretty palpable in this photo, as the kids wait for their parents to put on the coffee so they can get to the presents, already.
The World is Your Classroom
When you live on a resort, there’s room for all kinds of wildlife. And yes, that includes ducks. Here are the kids with a whole bunch of ducklings, learning some real-life lessons in biology and caretaking.
Swimming With the Wildlife
Of course, even though the ducks have their own pond on the resort, it’s way more fun to bring them in the pool with you.
Catching Up With Local Activities
Hey, if your resort is going to offer some fun excursions and activities, you may as well try them out for yourself before recommending them, right? The whole crew got in on this ziplining adventure, which looks like one heck of a way to spend a fun, sunny afternoon.
One of the best parts about being home schooled is the ability to roll with the waves, especially when those waves happen to bring in a whale skeleton. Here are the kids with their teacher, trying to make sense of a gift from a fisherman. If you think that’s cool, watch Bryan and Josephine piece the entire skeleton back together!
A Different Kind of Canada Day
When you live on a resort it’s easy to head to the beach for Canada Day. It looks as though the family still celebrates the holiday in style, even when abroad.
Yes, there’s a ton of fresh food on the island, but sometimes you just need a taste of home. Case in point? Linc and Sarah’s dad making an adorable McDonald’s run in a golf cart!
