This basement works hard, plays hard and hosts hard. With a home office, lounge area and guest suite, it ticks a lot of boxes for homeowners Michel and Christine. From the chevron walnut desk, navy shaker cabinets and work-from-home necessities to the oversized armchairs perfect for cozying up to the fire after work, the design was calm, cool and collected.
We added lots of textures and soft textiles to make it inviting, and treated the entire floor with the same durable vinyl flooring and neutral walls to maintain a natural flow from space to space. With the addition of plants, mid-century modern furnishings and colourful artwork, it’s inviting and inspiring.
