From Schitt’s Creek and The Handmaid’s Tale to Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, among others, new research by comparethemarket.com reveals how much properties cost in the Canadian neighbourhoods where these hit shows are filmed. (Data was based on the average value of properties and increase in price in the last calendar year, sourced via Zolo.ca.)

Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel

Location: Mono, Ont.
The Emmy-winning comedy has won over so many fans across the globe that, pre-COVID, the small town of Mono (pop. 8,609) was overrun with tourists seeking out the main filming locations. Although the “Rosebud Motel” is currently on the market for $2 million, these are the average values of other properties within the area (including nearby Orangeville).
