Home to professional athletes, we renovated this basement to create a dual-zone laundry room and home gym. Though the spaces are all about function, we didn’t ignore form. To maintain a consistent vibe between the spaces and offer some fun visual interest, we peppered pops of energizing cherry red throughout and paired it with gold hardware in the laundry room and warm grey cork floors in the gym. Complete with all the bells, whistles and equipment you could possibly need to do anything from a soothing yoga practice to a rigorous spin session. We kept the atmosphere of the room bright and airy by installing floor-to-ceiling windows throughout to reflect the minimal light.
