The year ahead will be no different, shiplap will be just as hot, but we’re predicting a new take on this timeless trend, and we’re already spying some new and unique interpretations of it, by none other than Mrs. Gaines! Never one to take the straight and narrow path, Joanna Gaines took a cool and curvy approach to shiplap with a fish scale inspired design. The look is perfect in this sweet-as-candy girl’s room.

If there’s one room that Joanna loves to use shiplap in, it’s a kitchen. For 2017, she’ll be taking it one step further, past the statement wall, to the focal point spaces, like around this sunken stove top!
