If you want to have a home make a real lasting impression, it all starts with an amazing entrance. Hilary certainly did that here with this arched-entryway and memorable red door. We also love the rustic look of the lantern-like light hanging overhead; the finished look is warm and inviting.

When you have a growing family, you know just how quickly things can get disorganized. That’s why Hilary implemented lots and lots of storage in the living room. Built-in shelves allow for pictures and books to be prettily displayed, while these custom doors can hide some of the more unsightly items in the room.

Since storage was a top priority Hilary opted not to transform the entire while into a bench seat, but she still managed to create a pretty sitting spot right under the window to kind of give the homeowners the best of both worlds. Naturally, there’s a spot for storage under the bench, too.

Soft and billowy white curtains are a creative way to add a little romance to a bedroom while also hiding unsightly window frames. Hilary took this dream space one step further in the romance department thanks to lots of textured finishes on the bed and these beautiful night tables with intricate details.

Bonus Space

This master feels even more luxurious thanks to the added seating area. Hilary created the nook out of what would have otherwise been dead space by adding this pretty patterned area rug, a small love seat and tables with a soft finish. Lastly the beautiful clock in the wall fits in with the overall theme while also tying both areas together.

Updated Vanity

This floating sink is a real design piece thanks to its interesting edges and simple design. Here it’s strategically placed on a vanity that comes with tons of storage and fun hardware finishes that really add personality to the small space. Simple lamp sconces above and some fresh flowers complete the look.

There’s something so modern but simple about subway tiles in a standup shower. The bright finish and clean lines help to open up the space while still giving the room some design appeal. Add in a dual shower-head system and some built-in shelves for toiletry items and this is a great little updated bathroom.

When you have a family, the basement often becomes the space where your kids will play. But that does mean all design elements have to go out the window. Hilary managed to create some organization in this room by sectioning off specific areas. There’s the “locker” area for shoes and coats, the “craft” table and coinciding shelves for organizing all of the supplies, and then of course there’s lots of space for general kid shenanigans and running around.

These pretty, painted crates add pockets of colour and an easy storage solution to the small space. Meanwhile there’s lots of extra room for books, art supplies and other small toys to be put away and organized in a neat and tidy way. Add in these fun gold elephants and a small globe on top, and we wish our playrooms were this stylish when we were kids.

A Cozy Den

The adults get some space to themselves too thanks to this brilliant corner hack. A sectional sofa and textured wall pair to create a small but cozy area to sit back and enjoy some good conversation, a page-turner novel or just a little quiet time. The ombre curtains, plush area rug and a statement lamp complete the look in just a few simple steps.

An Extended Mantel

On the other side of the room is the real statement piece: an elongated fireplace. We love how these bricks extend all the way to the wall, creating more space for ornaments and decor on the mantel above and a nice little sitting area thanks to this rose coloured arm chair below.

How do you get the most function out of a small room? Through built-in cabinets of course. Here Hilary managed to create a whole work space that’s perfect for any office or kids room. Simplicity and organization is key when it comes to a laundry space. Smaller appliances are paired with a large sink on one side of the room, which boasts a touch of modern country thanks to the panelled wall. A simple floating shelf overhead is perfect for storing all of the laundry essentials.
