Jane Fonda Lists Eco-Friendly Mansion in Beverly Hills After Split From Longtime Beau

Boasting both canyon and ocean views, Fonda’s home boasts 7,102 square feet of living space, while the home itself is situated on a 36,000-square-foot lot.

The dramatic metal front door opens into a large foyer, with a staircase to the right leading to the upper level. Meanwhile, an ascending glass elevator is used to enter the expansive gallery below.

Rocking seamlessly adjoining rooms throughout its open-concept design, the home also boasts some seriously clever eco-conscious innovations, including photovoltaic electric panels, a solar heated pool, thermal glass UV-protecting double glazed UV windows with motorized shades and ethanol-fuelled fireplaces, along with gorgeous eco-friendly bamboo floors.

The massive open-concept main level gallery combines the dining room, living room, butler’s pantry/bar, elegant office and large chef’s kitchen, with the breakfast room and adjoining family room.

On the main level, the featured element is the sunken living room anchored by the minimalist, stacked stone fireplace, with a wall of windows looking out to the backyard greenery.

In a real-estate video describing the property, Fonda admits that the home – built in 1961 but extensively renovated since then – would be her home the second she laid eyes on it. “I took one look at the house and I knew – I just knew,” Fonda exclaims. “I knew this was a place where we could live very happily.”

The spectacular eat-in chef’s kitchen features Verde quartz counters, walnut cabinets, premium-grade appliances and a double-wide island, with a broad bank of glass doors that open to an elevated terrace.

“This is the first time in my 79 years that I have had a closet that you can walk in and see everything that you have,” Fonda says in the video of the home’s massive walk-in closet.
