Mark was pretty soon proven wrong, as Ryan demonstrated an incredible talent for carving. He was a natural!

Deviating from the more symbolic style of the traditional totem pole, the team went for a modern look, with an emphasis on realism.

The final product is stunning. This bird of prey takes the top spot on the totem.

A U.S. senator commissioned a massive medieval dining table, and Paul Frenette wanted to take the lead. But his over-the-top designs and tight deadline had everyone breathing fire!

Everyone knows you can't spell "medieval" without "dragon." Well, you can. But why would you want to?<br><br>Don't worry, this one doesn't breath fire.

In that same episode, a very rare commission came down for a garden trellis. It inspired Ken Sheen to dream big, but the enormous job soon turned into a nightmare (and not just because of Jacob's zombie carving.)

As they always do, the <i>Carver Kings</i> pulled it together at the last second. They delivered an amazing garden trellis that emphasized the importance of family.

Ryan and junior carvers Dean Ross and Little Man (Bryan Reid III,) competed to create the most popular items for the Ducks Unlimited charity auction.

Dean's bear was created in his own individual style, incorporating his native spirit with real wildlife representations. It really differentiates him from the other carvers.

Ken was challenged with carving an archway for one of Pioneer’s biggest and most demanding clients: the owners of the Chilko Wilderness Resort. Ken took on arguably the most difficult carving in this archway design: the Spirit Man.<br><br>With some help from pro carver Pete Ryan, he was able to make this carving appear to be looking right at the traffic as they enter the resort.

When the <i>Carver Kings</i> were tasked with creating a bench carving for a Wisconsin client, Ryan and Ken’s contrasting personalities and styles threatened to derail the whole project!

As always, the team managed to complete the bench and delivered a stunning, one-of-a-kind product.
