So…what did everyone think of the two new episodes of Sarah’s House 4 that premiered last night? Let’s discuss all the Sarah Richardson and Tommy Smythe goodness, shall we?
The living room
Let’s just touch on the Find and Buy episode — I was surprised at the price of the home that was only 30 minutes from downtown Toronto — it was almost $800,000!! You can live comfortably and beautifully in the city for that price. In the end, Sarah’s real estate agent, Kara Reed of Chestnut Park Realty, drew Sarah to the suburbs by showing her a lot and a house from plans.
Fireplace, right, The Door Store; Custom couch, Sarah Richardson Designs
On to the decorating! Sarah expanded the once closed off living room to make one mega-room and turned it into a grown up and glamorous sitting room. My favourite touches where both old and new: the repurposed fireplace mantel and Sarah’s custom curvy couch piled with feathery pillows. And, of course, the fabric story in this grand room included multiple patterns (in true Sarah style, she loves to mix patterns!) in soft shades to compliment the "lavender" walls.
How funny was the scene during the credits where Sarah applied the lavender eye shadow to Tommy? "Wouldn’t be the first time," he said — LOL!
