15 Things You Didn’t Know About Cheryl Torrenueva and Roger Morin

We’d be hard pressed to find anyone who isn’t a little star-struck by Drew and Jonathan Scott, so we can’t really blame Cheryl for incorporating them into a photo booth, now can we? Besides, they do kind of produce this new series… so that makes them Cheryl and Roger’s bosses?

If Cheryl looks familiar, that could be because you’ve seen her smash hit YouTube series, Simply Cher Cher. In it, the host helped people modify their hectic lifestyles with timesaving ideas.

It’s also possible you’ve seen Cheryl’s handiwork (and judging skills) on Game of Homes… alongside some pretty notable co-stars, we might add.

So how does Roger spend one of his rare days off from filming? By finally getting around to some of his own DIY projects around the house of course. That explains this shot of him laying down some vinyl planking in his laundry room.

Sometimes you just need to get a little fresh air to find complete inspiration. Cheryl likes to get outside as much as the next gal, especially if it involves a good old fashioned hike. Just look at this gorgeous shot she got from a trek in Hamilton, Ont.

Cottages are a Canadian rite of passage, so it’s no wonder that Roger enjoys spending his time there. But not only is he an outdoorsy type, he seems to be an avid fisherman too. Here he is trolling for some pickerel.

Cheryl may also have something of a shoe fetish. Just check out this “army” she once packed for a flight. (We hope they all made it safe and sound!)

Just like us, sometimes Roger needs to get away from the daily grind with a good old-fashioned trip to a hot and sunny destination. Like Aruba, perhaps?

So what does it take to make Cheryl happy? Some yoga, delicious chocolate and a hot tea sound about right. Actually judging by her Instagram account, Cheryl may have a slight chocolate addiction…

When you see one of your childhood cartoons in life-size, mascot form, what else is there to do but walk up to him, strike a pose and ask, “What’s up, doc?”

Most designers are creative, for sure. But what do you do when you’ve got some freshly painted chairs and you need to protect them? If you’re Cheryl, you build them a mini cardboard-box fort, of course.

Indoor skydiving? Sounds like another average day for Roger. Here he is all decked out and ready to take the plunge with his wife.

No word on whether Roger jams out to U2 while working in the shop, but he definitely jams out to them with thousands and thousands of others when the opportunity strikes.

We have a feeling it won’t take long for Cheryl and Roger to become two of our favourite new hosts. Judging from their easy banter, their fun relationship and their easygoing personalities, these two are going to keep us entertained for weeks to come.
