Sandra says:

Oh my gosh, what is the floor in the hallway, it looks so interesting.
The end is way too fast, wish I didn't have to see reruns of previous taped scenes like the garden snake and more of the stuff like the hallway and exterior.
Looks so incredible though!

Anne says:

Hey Sandra, I having watched this episode, but from the look of it, it's Ocean Blue Limestone/Travertine. It's one of Sarah's favourite stones, and she's used it many times in Design Inc. and also in the entrance of Sarah's House 1. If you live in Toronto, you can see it at Saltillo Tiles (a favourite store of Sarah!).

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 11:18 AM EST

Tim says:

can we get more pictures on the basement! HGTV should do a special to show this "unaired" basement!

I'm sure the rating will fly off the roof!

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 11:23 AM EST

kim says:

great job Sarah! I don't think it would sell for 1.5 mil maybe 1.3 but that is still pushing it just my opinion. Would like to see more of the house as in a virtual tour of the whole house no talking.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 11:45 AM EST

Sandra says:

Well Hello Anne,
Yes, I remember well that entrance, actually fueled me to paint my railings all white just like it and I love it. It's a very interesting choice for an upstairs hall in tile isn't it? I do know Saltillo tile, got my kitchen backsplash there on sale!

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 13:02 PM EST

Sandra says:

Oh I just saw the basement pic, love the size of the windows!

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 13:04 PM EST

kim says:

would be nice if HGTV would tell us what the outside colours are. Would like to know the door colours, the trim colours, and the addition colour. I don't really need a list of real estate agents.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 13:35 PM EST

jamie says:

I too, would like to know the outside paint and trim colours.....would have liked to have seen an episode dedicated to the "outside" of the house........overall, a beautiful job with TONS of great ideas for our own old brick Victorian home......thanks guys......LOVE Sarah's House!!!!!

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 14:37 PM EST

kim says:

interesting all the agents are from Collingwood, I knew that house was around here some where. Now I just have to find it.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 15:07 PM EST

Kent says:

What did the local realtors value the house at? They're the ones who should know that market.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 15:09 PM EST

Kenny says:

OMGoodness, what a nice job Sarah did of renovating her own house, whilst being paid to do so. Now, would HGTV like to pay me to renovate my own house? No? OK.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 15:32 PM EST

Angie says:

Love Love the reno and decor. Wish my house looked like that. Great job Sarah!

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 15:45 PM EST

DD says:

Anyone else notice the chairs in the basement photo are from the Family Room of Season 2.

Am also wondering why people would think that this is her house. She did not set it up for her family of two small girls.

Would also have like to see some episodes on the basement, I was wondering about laundry, play space, a den etc. and I guess they are all in the basement.

What about out buildings, there did not seem to be any, - garage? place for the tractor or riding mower? or any of the other million and one things we have around our house in the country.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 16:56 PM EST

Jason says:

I want a basement episode!
Or just 5 or 6 more episodes of Tommy and Sarah being hilarious.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 16:58 PM EST

Deb says:

I think this is the perfect house - not too glam, not too "country", warm, happy, fresh! I really wish I could find the fabric from the kitchen -it is perfect. The credits go to Telio who will not share with people who are not designers. I have a desinger helping me - but how do I tell her what I want if I can not find out what it is ? Yikes! Anyone have a clue who makes the kitchen fabric?

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 19:33 PM EST

Stacey says:

Does Sarah sell the house after the show? Does she sell it fully furnished, because a huge chunk of the buget is the decorative aspects which could be moved to another house

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 20:59 PM EST

Catherine says:

Once again Sarah plus Tommy have done an incredible job. Kitchen is incredible. The bedrooms amazing as is thw whole house. I would pay 1.5 million if I had that kind of money. My husband thinks Sarah is the be all and end all when it come to designers. We are going to have Sarah do our dream house, when we win the lottery. How does one find the fabrics? We have nothing like them in Ottawa.

Wednesday, 12 May 2010 22:31 PM EST

June says:

Lovely reno, decoration and finish to every room, as usual!
What a pleasure to watch Sarah and Tommy do their magic and transform a mundane place into an exceptional one!

My only complaint is that the last episode seemed rushed and did not include the basement family room, laundry room, washroom, outside finishing and landscaping etc.

We don't want to miss out on any inspiration or creativity of Sarah and her great team! And just a suggestion, could your film crew spend just a little longer surveying each finished room at the end of each episode.

Two questions: Where are all these wonderful houses to be found and seen? And, Stacey has also asked this ? above.

Thursday, 13 May 2010 01:13 AM EST

Fiona says:

Would absolutely love to see a basement episode! I cant get enough of this show!
.....speaking of, I tired to watch the videos online and all I get is "the selected item is currently not available"! does anyone else have this problem? know how to fix it?

Thursday, 13 May 2010 02:17 AM EST

brooks says:

the kitchen fabric (i believe) is called Summer Tree - available through sanderson fabrics (as is the yellow bathroom fabric)

Summer Tree
“Summer Tree” is printed in four colours on soft textured linen with a myriad of flowers blooming from a single branch. The design depicts chrysanthemums, peonies, honeysuckle and berries in an incongruous mix, while the style suggests the distressed textures of the Indian Palampores from the 18th Century.from a single branch.

Collection: A Painter's Garden
Design name: Summer Tree
Colour: Silver/Linden
Product number: DAPGST204
Fabric type: Prints
Width (cm): 137
Vertical pattern repeat (cm): 91
Horizontal pattern repeat (cm): 137
Match: Straight
Composition: 100% Linen
End use: Curtains and soft furnishings

Thursday, 13 May 2010 10:55 AM EST

Angie says:

These houses must not sell "furnished" since I see Sarah reused her Garfield chairs from Season 2's family room. Wow I can't imagine buying a house with the window coverings (typically the window coverings go with the house) that Sarah chose. They are so color specific and won't go with just anything like neutral ones would.

Thursday, 13 May 2010 11:18 AM EST

Leona says:

Well done Sarah!! Thanks for all the great inspiration for decorating my own home..(takes a lot longer of course) but what fun decorating in your style.. love the use of antiques mixed with elegant touches...and now I find myself loving looking at fabrics in a new way...Thanks again..Love IT!

Thursday, 13 May 2010 11:19 AM EST

Cathie says:

That's my favorite colour scheme that they have done in the basement. Surprised they didn't do a curb appeal episode as well as the basement.

Thursday, 13 May 2010 11:34 AM EST

Cindy says:

Sarah and Tommy did a great job!!
I wish they would have shown the basement in an episode.
There is no shopping guide for the finale or the basement. This is the kind of info that I want for when I am doing my own decorating/renovating projects.
I agree - it would have been interesting to see what the local real estate agents would have valued the property for resale.
Interesting - when you talk to real estate agents about selling your home, they all tell you to make sure your colours are neutral - not bold - yet I think that this house was gorgeous and yes, colourful!!!

Thursday, 13 May 2010 14:53 PM EST

Lorrie says:

Love it!

Thursday, 13 May 2010 15:36 PM EST

Kiwi says:

HI Fiona. I have tried to watch the episodes again here in NZ and the same message comes up. I believe that you can only watch it again in Canada?

Hey Jimmy, are you still out there somewhere??

LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole house! Sarah and Tommy are hilarious and genious. Thank-you so much again for awesome ideas... we are still enjoying the programmes down here in NZ as we are only up to the Dining room.

Thursday, 13 May 2010 16:44 PM EST

Mary Elizabeth says:

Is there a way to purchase DVDs of the episodes? I'd be happy to pay to be able to keep a set of this series. My stupid DVR had to be replaced and I lost all of the episodes aired thus far in the states... I'm grieving!

Thursday, 13 May 2010 22:15 PM EST

Zoey says:

Would love to see an episode devoted to the final sale of the three house renos. Did they sell for the appraised values? Were the homes sold with the furnishings/designer elements?

Thursday, 13 May 2010 22:41 PM EST

Nikki says:

Were is Jimmy? Has Jimmy anything to say?

Friday, 14 May 2010 03:07 AM EST

Laura says:

I saw Sarah at a trade show after the first season and she said it is was up to the buyer to decide which furnishings they would want out of the house. So they would put little post-its on certain pieces saying "keep", and I think on the master bedroom of the first house they put a sticky on the door saying "keep whole room". Hence why she'd have certain chairs available for this house even if she used it in the second house.

Ta-Da ...... all and well done Sarah, Tommy and associate staff. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Brenda-

Friday, 14 May 2010 13:06 PM EST

Jimmy says:

Jimmy is here! Jimmy has been away this week training for the big marathon on Sunday. Jimmy is set to go. Jimmy made some huge gains this week and is now doing 40km no problem. Jimmy is looking forward to winning on Sunday.

Anyways, Jimmy just watched the episode. Jimmy taped it. Jimmy's VCR is working just fine again.

Jimmy doesn't have much to say other than the fact that Sarah's real estate agent seems to be telling Sarah what she wants to hear rather than possible realities. Jimmy is sure that Sarah knows beter though. Jimmy thinks that if local real estate agents are pricing it at 1.2 that it will likely go in that range. Jimmy isn't a fool. Jimmy also thinks that even though the farm (which doesn't seem to have milk jugs anywhere by the way...) might be listed at 1.55, the true value is what it sells for. That is Jimmy's real estate lesson of the day.

Jimmy has to get going now. Jimmy has places to run, people to see.

Friday, 14 May 2010 13:13 PM EST

Diane says:

Glad your back Jimmy, I missed your wit!! Good luck with the race on Sunday, I will be cheering for you!

Friday, 14 May 2010 13:47 PM EST

kim says:

calling HGTV hello hello.........I would like to know the paint colours used on the outside of the house, please and thank you!!!!!!!!

Friday, 14 May 2010 14:19 PM EST

jmrs says:

I enjoy the humour that Tommy and Sarah share. Again the job was very well done. It is a pleasure to see the variety of items that can be used in decorating.

Friday, 14 May 2010 20:53 PM EST

Kiwi says:

Good luck with the marathon Jimmy! Let us know how you get on.

Saturday, 15 May 2010 03:19 AM EST

Sandi says:

I love this show. Since I'm about to renovate my laundry room I'm wondering why there is no laundry room in this house. They showed the floor plans and I couldn't see one anywhere and I know there wasn't an episode including one.

Sunday, 16 May 2010 09:05 AM EST

Renee says:

Love, love, love the show!! I love what she did in one of the halls...the one outside of the tween rooms. She put wainscoting, and above it, covered the wall with something that looks fabulous!! It gives a boring hall an interesting look. Does anybody know what that covering is and where to buy that??

Sunday, 16 May 2010 10:02 AM EST

mrsben says:

To Renee: Re your question. I beleive it was Grass Cloth wallcovering.
Search under BLOGS: Discuss Sarah's House Ep. 10, dated May 12th by Alicia. Follow the link under WEBISODE "Hallway Texture".
Hope this helps. -Brenda-

Sunday, 16 May 2010 11:11 AM EST

Anne says:

It was a great season-great house. Best decorating-reno show on tv. I do not think we missed much on basement. Sarah probably thought so as well-it did not need another episode but more info on exterior colors would be great. What is next for these two? Does anyone know???

Sunday, 16 May 2010 19:24 PM EST

Penny Longstreet says:

When is Sarah going to have a book out with all her rooms and houses from Sarah's House and Design Inc?

Sunday, 16 May 2010 20:35 PM EST

Sandra says:

I also vote to see laundry rooms pictures, could HGTV folks post them too!
Pretty please.

Sunday, 16 May 2010 22:29 PM EST

kim says:

I don't think she is selling this one. It close to the ski club she belongs to, I think it might be the winter retreat. wish I had that kind of money.

Monday, 17 May 2010 13:12 PM EST

krissyo says:

I love Sarah and Tommy and their designs. The farm house was beautiful, but I must say the style of the show was choppy and we never got to see a lot of things. It always had to repeat itself eveytime after a commercial and that precious time could of been spent showing us more. Like the basement and her designs for outside. Don't get me wrong, I love the show but want more. Kitchen is my fave!

Monday, 17 May 2010 14:32 PM EST

lynnie says:

Soooo glad to see jimmy back on here. Missed you Bud! I look forward to your comments as much as I do the show.

Monday, 17 May 2010 18:15 PM EST

Mary says:

Good luck Jimmy, leave em all behind.
I love mostly everything about this house. The real estate agent whom I have seen before on her shows sounds like some star struck teenager who's never seen expensive real estate before. I wish she would be a bit more professional and critical of the property. Highlight the highs and lows and stop kissing her A***!!!!

Tuesday, 18 May 2010 12:07 PM EST

HGTV says:

Hi folks,
We post all the information and photos we receive from the production company, so we don't have any more photos at this time.

Be sure to check each episode gallery for the shopping guide, which lists all the products, paint colours and stores Sarah and Tommy shop at. If something isn't listed, then we don't have the information.

Thanks for all your comments!
Alicia, HGTV

Tuesday, 18 May 2010 15:26 PM EST

HGTV says:

I'm back with good news. Sarah listed more shopping info for the exterior episode in her final column for the Globe & Mail, which is now on our site under Tips and Advice. "Ten magic touches that made my home sparkle."

Cheers,
Alicia, HGTV

Tuesday, 18 May 2010 15:45 PM EST

Diana says:

I loved the show, actually I love anything Sarah does. I love rusty things, worn & cracked paint, all old worn items. The light fixtures were spectacular. The only thing I would change was to spend more on a tub and less on drapery fabric. A tub is long term important item. I am sure there must have been a less expensive compromise on fabric. Looking forward to your next adventure. keep up the great work Sarah. P.S. Tommy would be a hoot if he had his own show.

I LOVE ALL THE FE MARTKET SHOPING WEAR ARE THAY LOCATED

Tuesday, 18 May 2010 19:16 PM EST

JustMe says:

I think if the house is near Collingwood the flea market was at Barrie (June and Sept). I also would like to see more of the details of the products used, and more time spent on shots of the rooms, less time showing handprints on the walls, and repeating clips three times during an episode. I like Sarah, but her shows have less substance each season!

Wednesday, 19 May 2010 00:37 AM EST

Brandie says:

While a adore Sarah and Tommy - and the house turned out amazing - I really could do without all the Sears and GreenWorks product placement. Also, I agree with a comment earlier that I really could have done without all the repeat footage of the snake, the squirrel, the raccoons, Yes we get that it is in the counrty - but we want to see MORE footage of the house!!

Wednesday, 19 May 2010 14:27 PM EST

Lorette says:

Once again , beautiful , would it not be great to be able to purchase a home after Sarah was finished with it , stunning once again, what a talent you have putting fabrics together.

Wednesday, 19 May 2010 22:03 PM EST

Susan says:

Does anyone know where to get the star shaped light fixtures in the hallway photo?

Wednesday, 19 May 2010 22:11 PM EST

Suzanne says:

You and your team did an amazing job! It is a poetry of design. My dream is to have my home redone by you. I know it is only a dream. Sure hope you decide to do another house after you're rested up. Miss it lots.

Thursday, 20 May 2010 11:34 AM EST

Renee says:

Thanks Mrsben for the info about the hallway texture blog. I can't seem to watch the webisode...the Canadian tire advertisement keeps playing over and over again! Anybody else have this problem?

Friday, 21 May 2010 16:57 PM EST

Ina says:

I would love for Sarah to identify her paint color selections. I buy too many samples getting to just the right shade or hue I want. How does anyone choose simply from a store's small chips. I have to put the color on the wall.

Friday, 21 May 2010 17:24 PM EST

Leanne says:

Would love to see another episode that covers the basement and whether there is a laundry or home office? It just seems as though we have missed out on some items unlike the previous 2 seasons. What about a floorplan as well please. I would like to look at a floorplan to actually understand the addition and renovation properly. Otherwise fantastic as usual.

Saturday, 22 May 2010 04:51 AM EST

mrsben says:

To Renee: Re the link you are more than welcome. I just tried it again and it was okay. (Actually there were two different commercials ... not Cdn. Tire this time.) It has a very good close up of the Grasscloth and Sarah discusses it. Good luck! -Brenda-

Saturday, 22 May 2010 21:48 PM EST

Jenny says:

Please could you publish more pictures of the basement on this page and a view of the floorplan.

Saturday, 22 May 2010 23:24 PM EST

Jen says:

Does anyone have a link to the mls listing? I've been searching and had no luck. I'd love to find out more about it.

Sunday, 23 May 2010 12:05 PM EST

Elizabeth says:

How about fabric and color in hallway?

Monday, 24 May 2010 16:35 PM EST

confused says:

can anyone explain why sarah did not incorporate some sort of garage... i find it quite bizarre that the associated expense and effort in a farm setting is completely devoid of some sort utility attachment that could have functioned as a space for vehicles…

Monday, 24 May 2010 18:06 PM EST

Buffy says:

I've read most of the comments and they seem to be positive, but I think that Sarah has some difficulty with the visual impact of the interior. Simply put, several of the rooms are too busy (too many patterns).

Monday, 24 May 2010 18:13 PM EST

Doug says:

I have been watching Sarah's show before Sarah's House and It was ok but for Sarah's House, it was so wonderful to see what kind of designer she is. I like something that is not toooooo much or gaudy. I learned lot on Sarah's discussions on making choices like antique stuff in flea markets or antique stores, fabrics, flooring and many other materials. Many pros and cons involved. Tommy did a great job to help Sarah. I would like to hire her if i have money. No pun intended.

Tuesday, 25 May 2010 22:21 PM EST

Helen says:

I love watching Sarah and Tommy, they have a lovely friendship. But I would love to see more of the house. The episodes seem to be cut short. Did they film more or is this all. Sarah said she needed to rest, is she pregnant again?

Thursday, 27 May 2010 08:25 AM EST

Brandi says:

Mostly very nice, it's great inspiration for the country log house I'm buying! One thing I don't like is the extension entrance, it looks like a store front...and the landscaping is kind of corporate. Love the hallway and star lights.

Thursday, 27 May 2010 15:23 PM EST

Janet C. says:

Sarah, don't you find it difficult to "part" with these beautiful houses that you turn into even more beautiful "homes"??

This, beside your cottage island in Georgian Bay, could be another "getaway" spot for you and the family. A totally different getaway. All you need is a few chickens !!!!

I look very much forward to your next "Sarah's House". What do you think it will be next? Something modern maybe? Whatever you choose, I will watch every episode !!

Thursday, 27 May 2010 15:46 PM EST

Patti D says:

Adore this show! I will have terrible withdrawal after. Does anyone know what the blue and white (or cream?) fabric is on the seat of the white chair in the bathroom? It is not listed in the shopping guide, just where it is from. Wish the names/brands of all of the fabrics were listed somewhere!

Thursday, 27 May 2010 19:28 PM EST

Becky says:

I believe Sarah gets most of her fabrics at designer fabrics
on Queen St.

Friday, 28 May 2010 10:14 AM EST

Charlotte says:

Sarah, If you ever get bored you can come transform my house any time! I love all of your houses but my favorite was the farm house by far! I can't wait to see what you do next!

Sunday, 30 May 2010 11:15 AM EST

Diane says:

Love the show! Hate the length!! We need more time showing the finished rooms, less repetition in the show- funny though it may be- more information! I have taped the shows to get better continuity and whoever has the last say on content is cheating us- this is a big project and deserves some RESPECT!

Monday, 31 May 2010 08:43 AM EST

Lisa says:

Wow! The house is amazing, I completely love it. Your designs are fantastic and inspiring. I can't wait to see what you do next.

Monday, 31 May 2010 14:45 PM EST

Gail says:

Where is the outside antique's fair that some of the furniture was purchased? I would love to go there!

Monday, 31 May 2010 17:18 PM EST

Peggy O says:

My very FAVORITE show..... Sorry I did not see first two seasons. Will try to find reruns.... Love the mixture of new and old. I would love to see more shots of the completed rooms. What I do now is record segment then pause and really study the room and the details. It is all about the details with Sarah and Tommy and is hard to see them at the fast pace of a half hour show. LOVE your work...Keep it up....

Monday, 31 May 2010 19:18 PM EST

dorothy says:

as always, the final outcome is spectacular...sarah sure has the incredible ability to forsee her thoughts and designs, put them into action and see them through 'til the end...she must feel soooo satisfied with her work !!! (and tommy too!!)....what beautiful fabrics, colours, designs, wall treatments, flooring, window treatments, beddings, etc...i loved every room and found nothing overdone at all...all very original and fresh...
the only thing i feel would've been better/more appropriate, would have been to do the big addition in the same red brick, rather than the grey they used, to make it more authentic...it should've matched the original century gothic farmhouse so typical of rural ontario...

p.s...how did jimmy do in the marathon ??

does anyone know what sarah's next project will be??...on design inc., i came upon a rerun of her nursery with baby #1 a few weeks ago...another great show with incredible original ideas, such as painting flowers/vines onto the wall to match the fabrics ...wow...she never fails at her uniqueness in design !!! ...i do believe she's 1 in a million...

Wednesday, 02 June 2010 19:12 PM EST

donna says:

sarah and tommy ... please do more ....... very fast
thank you! oop's you to vito...

Thursday, 03 June 2010 16:43 PM EST

doreen says:

i wish sarah would come out with a book about the renovation of the farmhouse.

Friday, 04 June 2010 07:17 AM EST

Shawn says:

When do we get to see Sarah's Basement? and Sarah's Garage/green house with craft studio above?

Sunday, 06 June 2010 12:54 PM EST

Fiona says:

WHY CAN'T I WATCH THE EPISODES? SOOOOO FRUSTRATING. HGTV USA NEEDS TO GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND ADD SEASON 3 VIDEOS ASAP

Sunday, 06 June 2010 15:06 PM EST

Anne says:

All in all a great season and a different look at what can be done in a home. Such a great home for family and friends. You can really host a few or a crowd well...lots and lots of ideas. I still think a master needs a private bath but otherwise fantastic-I especially loved the old pieces used for vanities. SO much better than anything else-much more personal.

Monday, 07 June 2010 08:42 AM EST

Jan says:

Noooo. Say it ain't so! I did NOT want to see this season draw to an end. Sarah and Tommy ("You are going to bounce my paycheck!") are a delightful team. What a nice change to watch a show that features such lush colors, a plethera of patterns, and ANTIQUES. So many of the decorating/renovating shows feature all things beige and contemporary. I could move into the farmhouse and be content (would only make one change: the blue bathroom would be done in shades of green granny apples!). Sarah's House is one show I would love to see go to an hour, rather than 30 minutes. Again, congrats to Sarah, Tommy, Vitto, et al, for a spectacular season!

Monday, 07 June 2010 12:54 PM EST

Liza says:

It was a great season and so sad to see it end. I must say I did feel cheated to not see the basement and laundry room. No one does a laundry room better than Sarah! I would have rather seen the basement vs. all 5 bedrooms. Please, please give us a basement episode (in the US too).

Tuesday, 08 June 2010 21:06 PM EST

Debbie says:

Sarah, I don't think that diva fits you, but I do think that awesome does. You are awesome! I tape your shows so that I don't miss any because since I've discovered you on Sarah's house I can't wait to see what your going to do next. Your taste, your style, your lessons of how to are right on. You, Tommy and Vito make a great team and I really enjoy watching your show and hope that are many, many more to come.

Wednesday, 09 June 2010 13:01 PM EST

Kate, Washington State says:

We just started getting Sarah and crew here with the farmhouse series. Oh man, what a worman! I can't believe anyone can put such a combination of fabrics, patterns, new and old and have it come out so warm and inviting and FRESH! She beats anyone on HGTV in the US. What a gem you Canadians have. I hope that somebody at HGTV would get it in gear and do dvds. I saw somewhere that she may have a book out by December 2010. I'd like one with many pics of each room, lists of paint and fabrics and sources, and floor designs plus lots of the same kind of little bits of info she gives when she explains how she does it or how she thinks this problem through. I guess I'd just like to have Sarah materialize (like on the old Star Trek) whenever I needed some advice.

Friday, 11 June 2010 03:14 AM EST

Mindy says:

I agree the episodes were choppy the design works and I wish the shows had spent more time on the actual design verses the personalities relationship...

I heard that the series was shortened because of budget restaints. That is terrible. I watch and re-watch these shows and would have loved to see more...much more.
This is my favourite tv show...anything with Sarah and Tommy.
I did love the finished product !

Joanne says:

I was never a fan of Sarah in the early days. I found her style a little "cold" with the monochromatic theme and the contemporary style not to my liking. My opinion has changed 180 degrees since she has started doing this series of complete house renovations. I love the farmhouse. She and Tommy nailed it. I have looked in vain for the red dishware in the diningroom segment and have had no luck finding it. Can anyone help thanks

Mary Ann says:

Love the show and so sad to see it end. I too agree that it would be a great idea to publish a book especially on the farmhouse. I loved this series because it seems so many show are about contemporary or modern styles and that is not for everyone. Loved the farmhouse and was inspired to do my country house with brighter colors. I too agree that we didn't need to see the same drive to the country over and over and of course would have loved more of the decorating. I love Sarah narrating the show explaining her reasons for the choices she makes. Sarah seems like the girl next door and very sincere with her comments. I love the fact that she is so real. Anxiously awaiting more.

seriously guys...anyone can put these fabrics together! if this is all i had to do then i could do just as good! actually my house is one of a kind and awesome. i personally think that there should have been a master bathroom in the reno job. fell a little weak in the department. the best thing from this series is great light fixtures and kuddos to tommy and sarah for keeping some of the vintage feel in the house

There is a bergere style chair in the living room by some surveying equipment. It isn't on the shopping list for the room, nor is it part of sarahs collection??? I have been looking for such a chair. Thanks.

Jealous says:

I wish I could have her job! How fun! But I can't help but wonder when HGTV will do something similar for families on a BUDGET. We all can't spend thousands of dollars on upholstery and other design options. She spend over $20,000 on some of those individual rooms...$20,000 would be a total budget for me.

Sarah is absolutely the best designer on tv! She is amazing! Her point of view is so interesting, clean, refreshing and beautiful. I hope she never leaves tv, so the she can inspire all of us in our dwellings. She also has such a pretty smile and soothing voice.

I LOVE the fabric used in the yellow bathroom. Sanderson is listed as manufacturer, however I can not locate it on their website. Does anyone know the name of the fabric and if it is available in the states??

Laura says:

I really enjoy this show and watching the progress of each project. That said, as an architect, the design of the addition and how it is integrated into the existing property is really disturbing. The interiors are all lovely, but the overall architectural organization can use some serious improvement!

Judy says:

I loved this show! I thought nothing would ever equal "Sarah's Cottage" which I still adore and watch every re-run, but again Sarah and Tommy's vision boggled the mind. I could never imagine what to do with an old farmhouse, or the ranch style in Season 2 and I grew up in one of those. I love watching the transformation of these old places and could care less about the cost, it's the whole show that I love. Keep up the great work, can't wait til the next one.

Kate says:

The fabric in the yellow bathroom by Sanderson is called Etchings and Roses in the Yellow under the collection called Parchment Flowers. You can order a sample for free which I did! It took about 2 weeks to get it in the mail.

The dining room wall fabric is by Schumacher and called Lotus Garden in Laquer. The drape fabric is also by Schumacher and called Shirala Paisley in S***e. You can find those online at Decorator's Best or Inside Fabric.

I love this house but I wish Sarah would do a show with regular people budgets in mind. I make a good living and feel I'm middle/upper class. Who can afford these renovations?

ADK says:

Great farm house, does anyone know the location? Where in Ontario? Can't see it selling for 1.5 in this market, but perhaps Sarah will break even. Anyone know if it's going up for sale, and if so, will Sarah be selling it all furnished.

Love it for the country, but really loved what she did to the cottage. Congratulations Sarah and Tommy, job well done.

Farmhouse Fan says:

Okay, hope this doesn't offend anyone. Let me just settle things down here. Yeah she/they did a great job (I guess). That's a matter of opinion. I'm thinking that lots of you could pick the fabrics, furniture, accessories and colours that she/they did. I couldn't, but anyways...

Seriously Sarah, you MUST gather all these beautiful pictures with your comments in the book!! I am worried that all of them are vanish form web and I will never be able to see them again! FYI, while all the rooms tick some boxes my favorites are: study from season 1, nursery from season 2 and yellow bathroom from season 3...
