Alexander Younger

Alexander is a pioneer in online marketing and the owner of Design Lab, a Toronto agency specializing in online and offline solutions. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Alexander is Sarah's Number 1 fan and plays the important roles of husband, father, and "green" guy.

Inspired by living off alternative energy sources, Alexander is constantly seeking new ways to make his lifestyle with Sarah more green and installed solar panels on their downtown office which generate enough power to run all the technology for three businesses.

The original island cottage was built over 10 years ago by Alexander and was designed to run entirely off the grid. When Sarah arrived on the scene shortly after it was completed she proceeded to rearrange the furniture and started transforming the place from a bachelor pad (while secretly dreaming of filling the cottage with the pitter patter of little feet and the magic of a makeover). While Sarah has taught Alexander that there are many shades of white in the rainbow of design, he has shown her that you can live "normally" on solar power without giving up any of the conveniences of home. Like Sarah, Alexander is a hands-on DIY enthusiast who loves a challenge and took time off work to pitch in and help make the cottage transformation a reality. From building to wiring, hauling and troubleshooting, Alexander was on hand to create the island paradise his wife had always dreamed of.

When he's not busy creating award-winning results for his clients, or channeling the sun, Alexander can be found high in the sky embracing his love of flying (he's been a pilot for over 20 years), enjoying an active outdoor lifestyle with his growing family, and getting used to being outnumbered in a house of three women!
