Junk Brothers is a 26-part, fast-paced television series that
follows the adventures of two brothers and their junk-to-funk furniture
transformations. In each episode our hosts, Jim and Steve Kelley, A.K.A. “the
Junk Brothers,” stealthily save curbside castoff furniture from the refuse bin
under cover of the night. They whisk the items away to their workshop and
transform the trash into incredible pieces of furniture that maintain at least
a hint of their former battered selves. Once complete, our dynamic duo silently
returns the restored pieces to their original homes and watch as the homeowners
are dazzled and mystified at the surprise restoration before them: they’ve just
had a visit from the
Junk Brothers.
In each episode, sibling trash-treasure-seekers silently collect two pieces of
salvageable discards from two separate household curbs. The homeowners are left
in the dark and assume that their furniture castoffs have been carted away by
the garbage men, never to be seen again. Little do they know that the
Junk
Brothers have taken the wounded furniture back to their workshop
where they will give this junk a new lease on life.
As each piece completes its transformation, the brothers load them up, and
return them to the curb where they picked it up. A piece of quality furniture
is given a new lease on life and our dynamic duo of rubbish reformation smile
in recognition of a job well done. They ring the door bell and vanish as
quickly as they came, not wanting any glory for their good deed. They head off
down the street happily unacknowledged as the homeowners continue to gush over
their restored furniture.
