Great Scott! Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are engaged! After four years of dating, one of HGTV Canada’s cutest couples is making it official.
On a trip to Scotland with their family, Jonathan proposed to Zooey with a stunning ring, featuring diamonds and purple and pink stones, in a gorgeous castle (talk about a fairytale). They captioned the news, sharing it on Instagram, with the words “forever starts now.”

They’ve come a long way since meeting in 2019 while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke. Jonathan admitted to “flirting so hard” with Zooey during the shoot, “the show’s producer had to cut a bunch of it out.” Zooey clearly couldn’t resist the harmony, and chemistry, between the two. They continued their “duet” with even more karaoke after filming, and they’ve been singing love ballads ever since!
Jonathan and Zooey quickly made their relationship official in October 2019, and soon thereafter began blending their families.

In May of 2020, they bought their Forever Home together, which, as you can imagine for an HGTV Canada star, is a pretty major step, but it came as no surprise from the couple that’s always been outspoken about their love, and loves to work collaboratively on all of their creative endeavors.
