Have speaker stands no longer in use? Don’t throw them away – refurbish them into chic side tables for your living room.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Metal speaker stands (For this episode we used speaker stands from Ikea)
  • MDF sheet
  • Glass cut to an 18” in diameter and bevelled
  • Exterior latex paint
  • Foam paint roller

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut a circle out of the piece of MDF sheeting measuring approximately 8” in diameter.
  2. Paint MDF circle and attach to the speaker stands.
  3. Using a foam roller, paint the glass with the desired colour using exterior latex paint. Tip: You will need about 3 coats – allow paint to dry thoroughly before each coat.
  4. Once painting is completed, place the glass (painted side down) on top of the MDF which is attached to the speaker-stands.
