Families are busy and sometimes it can be hard to keep track of everything and everyone.
Get organized with a family message centre for the kitchen. Both stylish and multi-functional, use the message board to posts notes to other family members, hang keys, keep track of “to-do” lists, create grocery lists, and so much more.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5/8 of MDF measuring 32” x 48”
- Sheet-metal measuring 32” x 32”
- Contact cement
- Black board paint
- Kitchen cabinet knobs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Paint the 32” x 48” MDF board with 4 coats of black board paint (you can find black board paint at most hardware stores).
- Glue the 32” x 32” sheet metal using contact cement to the painted black board. Be sure to position the sheet metal in the centre of the board leaving 8” at the top and bottom.
- Along the bottom of the black board, attach five knobs of your choice in a row. Use the knobs for hanging keys.
- Use the metal part of the board for magnets and the rest as a chalkboard – great family message centre!
