Adding a full length floor mirror to any space creates a dramatic yet sophisticated look. Save a few pennies and make it yourself with our easy do-it-yourself project plans.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Hollow-core door
- MDF crown moulding
- 6” Baseboard
- 1” Decorative moulding or chair-rail
- Mirror measuring the width of the door by 60” in height
- Carpenters glue
- Finishing nails
- Wood-filler
- Sand paper
- Primer and paint
- Mirror adhesive
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut and attach baseboard moulding to the bottom of the door remembering to wrap around the sides (mitering the ends).
- Cut and attach crown moulding to the top of the door remembering to wrap around the sides (mitering the ends).
- Attach the decorative moulding to the door 6” from the bottom of the door, and 12” from the top of the door -remembering to wrap around the sides (mitering the ends).
- Fill and sand all joints, mitered edges and holes.
- Prime and paint.
- Using the mirror adhesive, attach the mirror by placing it between the decorative mouldings.
