First impressions count a lot! Your front hall or entranceway is the first thing that people see when they enter your home. Dress-up your hallway with this do-it-yourself plan for a mirror and matching crown moulding shelf.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Crown moulding
  • Poplar
  • Glue
  • Finishing nails
  • Wood-filler
  • Primer and paint
  • Mounting hardware

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut down each piece of poplar to your desired length.
  2. Cut 3 pieces of crown moulding (front and 2 sides) to the length of poplar shelf leaving a ¼” reveal.
  3. Glue, clamp and nail moulding to underside of shelf.
  4. Fill all holes using wood-filler
  5. Sand, prime and paint.
  6. Attach mounting hardware.
