continued instructions below.
A. Assorted
* Note: You can use any paper for the stencils that you'd like,
however cardstock offers better mobility (the thickness and weight of the paper
makes it easy to pull away from the cookie), while acetate/overhead projector
sheets will provide greater accuracy (if your printer cannot print onto these
surfaces, simply place on top of printed paper and follow instructions).
2. Each page shown above includes six cookie designs. Once you have
printed the stencils onto desired paper, cut along the dotted lines to separate
one design from the next. This will make handling of the stencils easier.
3. The light gray circles show the minimun cookie size needed for each
stencil. Do not cut away anything light gray in colour.
4. The dark gray part of the image is what needs to be cut away to create the stencil. Using an exacto knife, remove the dark gray designs from
the print out. Voila, you've got your sugar stencil!
5. Place the stencil over your cookies, and shake icing sugar over the
stencil through a seive. Use coloured sugar crystals or small sprinkles for
added effect. You may want to brush a layer of sugar water or thin icing onto
the cookie first, to help the coloured sugar or sprinkles stick to the surface
of the cookie.
