There’s nothing like adding a little colour to your space with an item that’s also functional. This DIY clock is the perfect addition to any room!
Wood artist canvas
Masking tape (or in my case a roll of hockey tape!)
Glossy spray paint
Contrasting coloured spray paint
STEP 1: Using the ruler find the middle of the wood canvas and mark with a pencil. Drill a hole through the marking using a bit that is the same size as the shaft on the clock movement part.
STEP 2: Drill a hole through the marking using a drill bit that is the same size as the threaded end on your clock movement kit.
STEP 3: For this project we are using the backside of the wood canvas, so place the roll of masking tape in the centre of the backside of the wood canvas. This is in place to use as a guide when you lay out the numbers. Begin gluing each of the numbers in place.
STEP 4: Spray paint (in the main clock colour you choose) the entire wood canvas along with the nuts that came with the clock movement. Set aside to dry.
STEP 5: Spray the clock hands in a contrasting colour. Allow to dry.
STEP 6: Thread your shaft through your hole starting from the back of your wood. Next follow the instructions that came with your clock kit to secure the hands.
