The only person surprised that Bryan is hosting HGTV's hit show Disaster DIY, is Bryan himself! Despite Bryan's apparent charm, his passion for building and pride in craftsmanship (not to mention his rapier wit), he just never saw himself as the conduit for a weekly reno series. But Bryan's a natural who manages to inspire and entertain both troubled homeowners and viewers alike. Bryan was nominated for a Gemini Award for hosting Disaster DIY's first season, and won a Gemini Award for hosting season two!

Bryan spent his childhood learning tricks of the trade from his Dad – something he's hoping to pass on to his own son in the future! Bryan's father had to be meticulous as his company built and modified parts for private, commercial and military aircraft. His hard work, dedication and attention to detail has always had a profound effect on Bryan.
