For over fifteen years, Jeff Andrews has developed the careers of some of Canada's brightest stars, most recently, for the past nine years, as Director of Ford Talent, the successful film and television division of the world-renowned Ford Modeling Agency. The eclectic list includes Colin Mochrie (star of five series simultaneously on six North American networks including the wildly popular Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Fitness guru and Men's Health Cover Model Owen McKibbin, Olympic Skier Jeremy Bloom, Kids in the Hall alumni Scott Thompson and Mark McKinney (also of Saturday Night Live,), Michael Mahonen, star of Disney's Avonlea, feature film actress Linda Kash, Corner Gas director Wendy Hopkins, Far from Heaven's Barbara Garrick, VH1's Jackie Harris and comedienne Elvira Kurt, among others.
Educated in Performing Arts Management in Thunder Bay, Canada, Jeff began his career in public relations at The Vancouver Playhouse. Soon, he assumed the position of Publications Coordinator at the Shaw Festival, the second largest repertory theatre company in North America. At Shaw, his responsibilities included all aspects of production, from creation to publication, of any printed materials. Following his three successful seasons with the Shaw Festival, Jeff became Manager of Marketing and Public Relations for The Muskoka Festival, the third largest repertory theatre company in North America. He came to Ford Talent as an agent nine years ago following five years as Director of Television and Film for the widely respected Toronto agency, The Talent House.
In addition to his duties as an agent, Jeff created and co-produced the Comedy Network series, Adventures in Comedy, which ran for two seasons in Canada and is now in worldwide syndication, created and produced the hit comedy event, Summer Camp featuring North America's most popular gay comics, as well as Viva Elvira: The Show She Never Gave, an innovative showcase for the comedic and dramatic talents of popular comedienne Elvira Kurt, which enjoyed a sold-out run in Toronto in 1998.
Many of Jeff's clients at Ford were multiple award winners, receiving Gemini, Obie, Ace, Emmy and Canadian Comedy awards for acting, producing and directing. A number of the actors represented by Mr. Andrews appeared in Oscar-nominated films such as Far From Heaven, The Firm, Sleepless in Seattle, Pollock, Ice Storm and the independent short, Rainbow Wars.
Jeff has recently formed his own company, Andrews Entertainment, and is currently developing a number of exciting multi-media projects with leading production companies and networks in Canada and the United States.
