I was recently over at a friend’s place and she is an animal lover who owns a couple of cats and a dog. As we made our way into her living room, I learned that she had just purchased some new furniture for her furry friends so that her own furniture would not get damaged by her pets.
The cats had their own furniture in one corner which was comprised of a perch complete with a scratching post and a house. However, it was the furniture for her dog that had me completely speechless. Positioned beside her sofa was a miniature chenille upholstered chaise lounge. I’ve seen cushioned baskets, mats, large pillows, and even towels used as designated pet lounging and sleeping areas in a home, but this was the first time that I had ever encountered designer pet furniture. It was definitely extravagant for her pooch and I know that she loves her dog dearly, but I felt that the doggy chaise lounge was a bit much.
Perhaps I’m missing something because I don’t own any pets, but is it just me or is designer pet furniture over the top? Take our poll and leave your comments below!
