Indoor water features come in a variety of styles and sizes and they also have more benefits than meets the eye. The soothing sound of moving water can help to reduce unpleasant noise from the surrounding environment and create a calming and stress relieving effect. Breathing is made easier and the room temperature increases as a result of the humidity created by the evaporating water from the feature. And moving water naturally releases negative ions into the air, which in turn bond with air pollutants and carry them down to the floor reducing the amount of harmful air born particles in your living space. Personally, I own a small tabletop fountain and I quite enjoy the calming sound of the running water after a long hectic day.
On the contrary, indoor water features aren’t always the most ideal decorations as they can be cumbersome, junky looking, and slightly pretentious.
