It’s here! It’s here! The day decor bloggers and paint salesmen wait for. It’s the day Pantone announces its colour of the year, and from the looks of it, 2015 is going to be one dramatic year!
Marsala 18-1438 is Pantone’s 2015 Colour of the Year. It’s an earthy red, a “subtly seductive shade,” as the Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute puts it. It pairs well with neutrals, icy blue, deep greens and rich navy blue. It’s a more sophisticated colour than past selections (like 2014’s Radiant Orchid, or 2012’s Tangerine Tango). We’re already envisioning Marsala in candle-lit dining rooms and dramatic hallways.
Will you be raising a glass (of red wine, perhaps?) and toasting to Pantone’s 2015 Colour of the Year?
