Last week on Home Heist, Colin and Justin tackled an out of date living room, dining room and kitchen for homeowners with two young sons. The result? A fresh, bright spin on classic preppy style with a side of South Beach glamour. I love bold wallpaper and the guys didn’t disappoint, choosing a graphic pattern that makes a strong, stylish statement.
Before, the mirrored walls (check out the pole!), clutter and mismatched furniture made the space seem dark and cramped.
Colin and Justin opened up the whole first floor by removing the mirrored wall between the kitchen and dining room. Using the existing shutters as inspiration, they repainted the dining room set glossy white and recovered the chairs in washable, child-friendly linen.
But wait, there’s more! The team surprised the homeowners with a budget master bedroom makeover. My favourite is the teal throw at the end of the bed, such a gorgeous colour.
What do you think of Colin and Justin’s latest makeover? Would you go for white slipcovers with small children, even if they were washable?
