Distressed Pirate Mantle
Try this distressed pirate look that’s great for your fireplace mantle or any other focal point in your home like a console table or front window.
The focal point of this pirate theme is the skull and crossbones flag. If you can’t find a flag you like, you could easily make one similar to the one in the photo out of black and white construction paper.
Continue to layer other sea faring elements like ropes, winches, and wooden planks, to give your still-life that shipwrecked mood.
A pirate story wouldn’t be complete without a treasure chest so add in some booty whether it’s goblets or bowls of candy.
Finally keep your colour palette to 2-3 colours and add in metallic accents like weathered brass or gold as the perfect finishing touch.
