Love this DIY playroom makeover? Here’s how to create your own storage ladder.
I had a ladder that broke in two. I wanted to do something fun with it, and decided half of it would work well in the playroom. I needed rods to hold dresses and baskets to hold stuff - so this seemed perfect.
I bought baskets that would fit the size of the openings between the rungs.
Found the studs in the wall and had the ladder mounted. My husband climbed up and down the ladder and it didn't move, so if ever someone did decide to blow off my rule of not climbing on the ladder, it would hold.
I used simple fishing line to tie the four corners of the basket to the ladder. It's strong and clear so it doesn't really show.
Stuffies, blocks, tiaras and purses now fill the baskets. It's perfect, fun and unexpected. Plus...
