You may recognize Julia Black from her days as Samantha Pynn's assistant designer on the eco-friendly design program Pure Design, but she's also a self-professed "Green Geek". Julia's days working on the show only fueled her passion for green design, renewable resources and living life with the planet in mind. Earth Day is April 22, and to celebrate, Julia and I have produced four webisodes crammed full of information on how to live a greener life and how you can incorporate green design into your home.

The premiere webisode concerns a topic many folks around the office have asked about: VOCs and gas emissions in your home. What the heck is that all about? As Julia explains in the video below, VOCs are carbon-contained gases that are found in all sorts of materials around the home. Sounds scary, right? Don't worry, watch to learn more about VOCs and how you can create a healthier environment for you and your family.
