Canada’s largest Home Show is up and away, running at the Better Living Centre at Toronto’s Exhibition Place from September 20-23, and you know what they got there this year? Upcycling feats!

Celebrity experts and emerging style, décor and DIY bloggers including Mag Ruffman, Carson Arthur, Lisa Canning, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, Vicky Sanderson, Sarah Gunn and Shannon Acheson have partnered with Habitat for Humanity for the Ultimate Upcycle Challenge.

Each participant has sourced and repurpose a household item from Habitat for Humanity Toronto ReStore (have you been btw? These stores are full of amazing) and we’ve gotten us the pics! (Items are on display in the Habitat Toronto Exhibit Area at the Fall Home Show throughout the show).

You can vote for your fave at www.fallhomeshow.com and the winner will receive a prize. Bids can also be placed on the upcycled creations in an online auction at www.habitat.ca until September 25, with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity Toronto, in support of their ongoing work.

Hmmmm, should we do our own upcycle contest? Let us know in the comments and have a look through the gallery!

Over the next few weeks we’ll be posting each UPCYCLED ITEM with step-by-step instructions from the creators, so look out for that AND MORE FROM TORONTO'S FALL HOME SHOW '12.
