Earlier this month, the
Savant Experience Centre opened in downtown Toronto, and I was lucky enough to get a guided tour. The space was created to showcase
Savant Systems’ latest developments in automated living, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t impressed.
Dubbed the home of the future, the Experience Centre and showroom was created to give the public a chance to view, learn about and test Savant’s Smart Home technology, which can control almost any appliance, device or technology in your home. From audio and video, to climate and security, the system (built on an Apple-based platform) gives users a totally streamlined experience like never before.

Using True Image technology (shown above), users can navigate through actual photos of the rooms in their homes. By simply touching actual images of smart home products, you can easily initiate commands and control your home – from inside, or from anywhere in the world.
