Only one of you guessed all the bathrooms from Monday's Quiz correctly! One of you was very close... (Surely many of you guessed correctly, you just didn't send me an email *tear*) I can't believe most of you were stumped on the first one! That there is Nicole Kidman sporting a Peter Pan haircut in the ambiguously creepy Birth (2004), directed by Jonathan Glazer. I enjoyed it, I'll admit, but I especially enjoyed that amazing Park Avenue apartment in Manhattan. What a gloriously moneyed pad...

2. It's Complicated (2009), directed by Nancy Meyers, and starring Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. MeryI and Alec share a scene while she's sitting in this tub, which I read was dry, while Meryl sat under a lid designed to look like a foamy bathwater surface.

3. Sleeping with the Enemy (1991), directed by Joseph Ruben, and starring Julia Roberts and Patrick Bergin. The promotional poster for the film has Ms. Roberts in the tub, startled by a suspicion that her sycophantic husband is praying on her vulnerable bathing self. Those misaligned hand towels that become suddenly perfectly aligned in the scene following the photo below, give his presence away. We now know this tick as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Gawd that movie creeped me out!

4. Sex And The City (2008), directed by Michael Patrick King, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. This bathroom is in a Malibu beach house -- mansion -- which in the movie is the site of character Samantha's petulant flight from NYC. Sexually frustrated with her actor beau, Smith, she languished in silk robes and dramatic hats only to be fired up to her old standards by an exhibitionist shower-taker on a next-door balcony.
Did you guys enjoy that? I know I did. Congratulations to Debra B., from Cherry Valley, ON, and Myriam Richard from Montreal, QC.!
