OK fess up, when it’s time for bed and you go to turn down the covers, how many pillows are you tossing aside to make room for yourself? One bolster? Two decorative? Four decorative?
At a recent meeting, the team engaged in a little pillow talk and we were shocked to learn that one coworker had a total of eight pillows on her bed: two memory foams, two shams, two European shams and two for decoration. Another coworker came in at a close second with seven, all of varying firmness to fit her ever-changing sleep needs.
I myself tip the scale at six (and had to draw on an incredible amount of willpower to stop there when I was redecorating).
There’s a fine line between a beautifully made bed and a department store display and the team was divided on where it fell.
So I turn to you, dear readers. I’m hoping you can help clarify what’s the norm: how many pillows do you have on your bed? How many is too many? Let me know in the comments section below.
