It's barely been a year since my boyfriend and I have been living together and since then we've spent all our money and energy on items in the common areas of our apartment: couch, dining table, outdoor furniture, accessories, etc. All the rejects and hand-me-downs have made their way into the bedroom. Now I hate that room! It's so uninviting, unorganized and messy.
We're starting to change the bedroom situation; last night we went out and bought a new queen size mattress. Hooray! Can you believe we've been toughing it out on a hand-me-down double bed? Now it's time to figure out what to do with the rest of the room. I'm excited to search for new linens, pillows and a new duvet cover, but I'm not sure what to do about the rest of the mess.
What are you doing to cozy up your bedroom for Fall? New furniture, a fresh coat of paint, new linens? Show us your results (get the details at the bottom of this post).
My challenge is that my boyfriend is afraid of bright and bold colours, which I enjoy, so I'm trying to keep it neutral (for him) and fun (for me). Here are some great items I wouldn't mind in my new bedroom.

Here's how to participate in our Photo Challenge:
