We say: Yea!

Authentic Persian rugs are handmade carpets that are a fabulous addition to any home. Depending on the size, some rugs can take up to fourteen months to complete with multiple people working on them at once (this equates to a pretty hefty price tag!).

Recently, a new trend involving these gorgeous rugs has emerged. Instead of locking these rugs away in formal living areas to stall their demise, people are now showcasing them in high traffic areas like their kitchens and even their bathrooms.

The internet is completely divided—is it a beautiful way to spruce up a traditional area? Or is it a complete faux pas?

If you’re going to spend thousands, and even tens of thousands of dollars, why not showcase your purchase? Who cares if you get some soap suds on it—these rugs won’t lose their beauty over a little wear and tear, and they’re meant to be enjoyed.

What do you think? Are these rugs meant to be used, or are they meant to be admired from afar? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
