It’s the announcement we’ve all been waiting for (well, second to Kate Middleton’s pregnancy, that is): today, the peeps at Pantone announced their choice for the 2013 colour of the year.

This time, the winner is…Emerald! I’m excited to see this striking and sophisticated hue take off, especially in home decor. This bright green choice, already available in kitchen appliances, will radiate inside any home. It’s luxurious enough to dress up a dining room, make a splash in the kitchen or bring jewel-like accessories to life in the bedroom. Just think of the gorgeous bedding and stunning dishware that will be available next year!
