When it comes to decor, I’m a wee bit bipolar; I love sleek, contemporary architecture, uncluttered, minimal spaces and furniture that makes you go “Whoa!” But there’s no better way to spend a Sunday, in my opinion, than at a local antique market, hunting down one-of-a-kind decor. My latest acquisitions? A bust of Apollo to sit on my dresser and display my favourite necklaces and a Jonathan Adler-esque peace hand statue. Ah, but I digress…
So there I am, in my sleek little condo, stuffed with antiques. I’ve paired a gorgeous Chippendale-style table with a set of Philippe Starck ghost chairs in my kitchen. A modern glass desk is home to a collection of vintage barware. Two worlds collide, but it works, for me at least.
What do you think? Do you mix modern pieces with antiques?
