kitchen insdoors. Right off their inside space is the enormous empty deck seen above. John and Marissa wanted to extend their parties outside, but such an expansive space was overwhelming. What will
designer Kelly Deck come up with?
Because their deck is so large, Kelly designed all the pieces to be substantial in size. A bar with stucco on the exterior, tile on the interior and a sleek granite counter top houses top of the line stainless steel appliances. Large cedar planters with tall plants and lush foliage at the base provide privacy from the neighbouring homes.
The final result is any chef’s dream kitchen, with plenty of space for food preparation and guest seating to go with it. A dining table built of cedar and stained black ties is surrounded by outdoor dining chairs for sit down meals. An intimate corner designed for a drink or a chat is made up of large reclining lounge chairs made of weatherproof material and outdoor cushions.
