My immediate response to this question is no! When I think swimming pool, I think sunshine and indoor pools are blanketed with a considerable amount of shade.
After doing a bit of research, however, I found that to my dismay there are actually quite a few advantages to having an indoor swimming pool in comparison to a backyard pool.
While indoor pools take up large amounts of square footage in the home, they can be used year round and do not require winterization which can be an exponential cost. Indoor pools are also much easier to maintain in terms of cleanliness, as bugs (and other seasonal debris) won’t be able to vacation in your pool water. In addition to this, indoor pools let you enjoy the water without worrying about the damaging effects of the sun over prolonged periods of playtime in the pool.
So, what do you think? Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, or vice versa? Let us know in the comments below.
