Like many apartment dwellers, my living room serves as my main living space, foyer, mudroom and closet - which is quite a feat considering my living room is comparable in size to that of a large walk-in closet. I long for the day when I'm able to have a space — that doesn't include my living room furniture — dedicated to storing coats, shoes and all my other miscellaneous items like umbrellas and shopping bags.
