We love Easter’s pastel palette (any holiday that comes with colour-coordinated candy is a win in our books), but when it came to dreaming up our dessert table this year, we wanted to inject a high-end look into those sweet sorbet shades.
To turn the sweet table into a total showstopper, we tossed hits of metallic and sparkle into the mix for a sophisticated update on our favourite Easter hues.

With a little bit of food colouring (and a lot of Easter love), our editor whipped up this pastel-coloured layer cake. It was the talk of the office – not to mention the star of the dessert table – and this spring blossom cake recipe from foodnetwork.ca is sure to get you started.

We served pink elephant popcorn, mini marshmallow treats, jellybeans, and lots and lots of chocolate (including metallic Hershey Kisses which were right on theme!). Metallic spray paint on vases brought new life to white tulips, giving them a modern twist that you can easily replicate at home.
