Welcome back from the weekend, Summer Home fans! Designer Karen Sealy and her team transformed the outdoor space of this cottage on the Trent-Severn Waterway and made it a place for this sociable couple to entertain family and friends. (My apologies, this post appeared briefly last week, due to a change in the airing order.)
The sitting area
The original wood siding was losing the battle against the weather, so Karen upgraded to Fraser Wood Siding, a natural product that will stand up to the elements. The sitting area above was added and is a great improvement over the picnic table that was there before!
